Test note accuracy with an approved conversation whose important facts, conditions, and unknowns are known in advance. Evaluate specific claims in the output instead of relying on whether the summary sounds convincing.
Build a small answer key
| Test element | Fictional source fact | Error to look for |
|---|---|---|
| Responsibility | Prepared reporting for a program lead | Changed to program ownership |
| Compensation | USD annual base expectation | Period or component omitted |
| Availability | Interview window only | Changed to employment start date |
| Unknown | Budget authority not discussed | Invented positive or negative answer |
This is an original test method, not a published benchmark or a claim about any vendor's error rate.
Include ordinary conversational complexity
Use a correction, a conditional statement, and a question that remains unanswered. Keep the conversation realistic and relevant to the role. A test designed only to trap a tool on obscure language may not tell you much about everyday recruiter work.
Test the intended capture setup as well as the output. A clean text pasted into a prompt does not evaluate a meeting bot's handling of the conversation your team actually has.
Classify errors by consequence
Separate harmless wording changes from errors that could alter a client decision or candidate commitment. Record omissions, invented statements, speaker mistakes, and loss of conditions separately. A single aggregate percentage can hide the type of correction that matters most.
Have the reviewer explain the source for each correction. If two reviewers disagree, resolve the interpretation rather than treating one person's first impression as a definitive answer key.
Repeat after a meaningful change
Use the same approved test when you alter a template or handoff configuration. Keep the version and observed results so the team can see whether the change helped. Do not generalize a handful of test conversations into a universal accuracy claim.
The review checklist helps with ongoing use; the pilot plan adds workflow evaluation. Recruit Recap produces custom recruiting write-ups for recruiter review. Ask for a demonstration using your required sections and inspect consequential facts, rather than assuming accuracy from an attractive sample or an unsupported percentage.
