What Recruit Recap supports
Recruit Recap turns selected Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings into transcripts, recruiting notes and custom write-ups using a visible opt-in bot. Recruiters review the drafts. ATS integrations are scoped on demand; direct telephone capture, bot-free recording and universal ATS write-back are not established capabilities. See the product workflow and candidate submittal scope.
Choose the document that drives the decision
An interview scorecard records evidence against a role’s evaluation criteria. A candidate submittal explains why a client should spend time with a candidate and what still needs to be established. One conversation can contribute to both, but the structure and audience differ.
BrightHire should be evaluated as a hiring workflow product, not dismissed as a transcript tool. Recruit Recap should be evaluated for the agency’s actual note and write-up format. Ask the person who will read the output to participate in the trial; the person buying the software may not be the person using the resulting document.
A trial for agencies working with hiring panels
Use a fictional interview with two role requirements. Include a concrete example for one requirement and an incomplete answer for the other. Ask both vendors to create your required output without converting that incomplete answer into a confident evaluation.
For the scorecard workflow, inspect the relationship between the interview plan, evidence and final fields. For the client introduction, inspect whether the relevant example appears early and whether the unresolved requirement remains visible. Use a recruiter’s review as the approval step rather than treating generated wording as a hiring decision.
Confirm how the workflow reaches your ATS
Take one real field map, stripped of personal data, into the evaluation. Ask what arrives as a note, what arrives in a scorecard and what remains outside the ATS. Test a correction after the first draft has been saved.
Recruit Recap scopes ATS requirements on demand. If your buying requirement is an already-supported scorecard integration, require that demonstration before proceeding. Conversely, if your main bottleneck is rewriting every candidate introduction in a client-specific format, prioritize the resulting write-up over the number of available hiring features.
Pricing: compare the workflow you would buy
Use the current Recruit Recap pricing and request a quote or current plan details from BrightHire. Compare the same number of users, billing period, capture requirements, storage and integration work. A free entry plan and a fully configured agency rollout are different scopes. This page does not claim that either product is cheaper.
Questions to resolve in the demo
- Can a recruiter find the evidence for a sentence, correct it and share the approved version?
- Which capture methods and output formats are included in the quoted plan?
- What exactly reaches the ATS, and who handles a failed or incorrect transfer?
