Start with the package your client expects

For custom candidate write-up drafts, evaluate Recruit Recap. For branded presentation elements, investigate CoRecruit. If your agency already uses Loxo, start with its native submittal workflow. For summaries informed by several interview stages, evaluate Metaview. When structured hiring feedback and write-ups belong in the same process, include BrightHire.

This is a five-tool editorial shortlist, not an independent ranking. Each has a publicly described candidate-summary or write-up workflow. We selected different buying paths rather than listing every transcription tool. The products do not offer an identical package, and we have not tested their outputs head to head.

1. Recruit Recap: a defined agency write-up format

Recruit Recap produces custom write-up drafts from selected Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings. A recruiter reviews the output, and ATS requirements are scoped on demand. See the candidate submittal workflow.

Evaluate it with the document your clients already receive. Ask for the required sections, inspect a missing answer and confirm the approved destination. Its documented scope does not establish resume reformatting, embedded-video exports or direct telephone capture. If those are required parts of the package, resolve them before purchasing.

2. CoRecruit: branded candidate presentations

CoRecruit describes branded summaries, video snippets and resume reformatting, alongside editable drafts and custom templates. CoRecruit’s submittal page.

Include it when the client introduction involves more than a text summary. In the demo, produce every element the client will receive and confirm who approves the final package. Check how a factual correction is carried into each version. Recruit Recap vs CoRecruit.

3. Loxo: submittals in the recruiting platform

Loxo’s Candidate Submittal Agent drafts candidate summaries for hiring managers. Loxo’s product page.

Existing Loxo users should test the native workflow before adding another document tool. If your agency uses a different ATS, clarify whether the proposed implementation changes that platform commitment. Demonstrate the client-facing output and access needed by the person who reviews it. Recruit Recap vs Loxo.

4. Metaview: summaries across hiring conversations

Metaview describes candidate summaries that draw on multiple conversations, alongside recruiting note templates. Metaview’s interview notes.

Include it when your submission needs to reflect a screen and later interview evidence. Test an updated fact across two fictional conversations: the final introduction should make the current information clear. Confirm how the reader accesses supporting context. Recruit Recap vs Metaview.

5. BrightHire: write-ups within structured hiring

BrightHire describes customized candidate write-ups and templates as part of its AI interview-note workflow. BrightHire’s AI interview notes.

Evaluate it when the same evidence must support both structured hiring feedback and a candidate introduction. Ask for the actual external document rather than assuming an internal scorecard meets the client’s needs. Recruit Recap vs BrightHire.

A worked acceptance test

The following is a fictional evaluation example, not a customer result or product screenshot.

Your client needs someone who has coordinated delivery across several people. The candidate says, “I coordinated four colleagues on a reporting project.” They do not state that those colleagues were direct reports or quantify the result.

An acceptable draft preserves the distinction:

Coordinated four colleagues on a reporting project. Direct management responsibility and measured outcomes still need confirmation.

An unacceptable draft turns it into unsupported evidence:

Managed a four-person team and delivered measurable productivity improvements.

Give every shortlisted vendor the same source material and format. Have a recruiter identify the unsupported assumptions, make a correction and inspect the final exported or saved document. Compare the effort required to reach an approved version.

What belongs in a candidate submittal?

Start with the candidate’s relevant experience and its connection to the client brief. Add explicit practical details when established, such as compensation expectations in USD with the pay period and candidate-stated availability. Keep unresolved questions separate. Include only information appropriate to the client’s decision.

Use our candidate submittal template to define the sections before evaluating software.

Check what happens after approval

A summary is not a complete handoff until the correct person can access the approved version. Confirm whether the destination is an email, document, candidate record or opportunity-specific field. Test a failed transfer and a revised draft.

Ask each vendor for current plan details and any implementation cost. Do not compare a document-only subscription with a larger platform package without accounting for the other tools involved. Recruit Recap’s current plans are published on its product page.

Does a submittal tool make the hiring decision?

The workflow here is drafting and reviewing a document. The recruiter remains responsible for checking accuracy, relevance and missing information. A convincing sentence is not evidence by itself, and an unanswered question should remain unresolved until someone confirms it.
