What Recruit Recap supports

Recruit Recap turns selected Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings into transcripts, recruiting notes and custom write-ups using a visible opt-in bot. Recruiters review the drafts. ATS integrations are scoped on demand; direct telephone capture, bot-free recording and universal ATS write-back are not established capabilities. See the product workflow and candidate submittal scope.

A custom summary deserves a fair test

Fathom offers customization, so do not assume that its default summary is the best recruiting output it can produce. Start with the sections your agency actually uses and test what can be configured in your proposed plan.

The relevant question is what work remains after the call. Does the recruiter mostly check facts and resolve unknowns, or do they rebuild the document for every client? A focused recruiting tool is worth considering when it demonstrates a useful difference in that remaining work, not simply because it uses recruiting terminology.

Try the client-brief test

Prepare a fictional brief that asks for experience leading a small delivery team. In the screen, have the candidate describe coordinating colleagues without claiming direct management responsibility. Ask both products to draft an introduction in the same format.

The output should preserve that distinction. Inspect whether the recruiter can find the supporting detail, correct an overstatement and carry the correction into the version shared with the client. This trial tests the agency’s required review process; it is not a claim that either product produced a particular error.

Resolve capture and destination requirements early

If your team requires a particular recording method, check the current Fathom setup against your devices and meeting provider. Recruit Recap uses a visible opt-in bot for selected Meet, Teams and Zoom meetings; bot-free capture is not an established Recruit Recap capability.

A CRM connection is not proof of support for your ATS. Ask to see the specific record and field destination in either product. If your current Fathom workflow already creates a satisfactory introduction and a reliable handoff, document that result before deciding to add or switch tools.

Pricing: compare the workflow you would buy

Use the current Recruit Recap pricing and request a quote or current plan details from Fathom. Compare the same number of users, billing period, capture requirements, storage and integration work. A free entry plan and a fully configured agency rollout are different scopes. This page does not claim that either product is cheaper.

Questions to resolve in the demo

  • Can a recruiter find the evidence for a sentence, correct it and share the approved version?
  • Which capture methods and output formats are included in the quoted plan?
  • What exactly reaches the ATS, and who handles a failed or incorrect transfer?
