What Recruit Recap supports

Recruit Recap turns selected Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings into transcripts, recruiting notes and custom write-ups using a visible opt-in bot. Recruiters review the drafts. ATS integrations are scoped on demand; direct telephone capture, bot-free recording and universal ATS write-back are not established capabilities. See the product workflow and candidate submittal scope.

Ask which Otter workflow is included

Otter’s recruiting page goes beyond basic transcription, so a fair comparison should include that workflow. Ask which preparation, interview and follow-up functions are available in the plan you would actually buy. Do not infer that every feature on a product page is part of the entry plan.

Separate assistance during an interview from the quality of the document afterward. A recruiter may value live support while an agency owner mainly wants consistent client introductions. Establish which outcome is responsible for the purchase, then use the other as a secondary criterion.

Distinguish a direct integration from an automation

The Recruiting Agent page mentions Greenhouse and describes Zapier in the associated handoff section. Ask Otter to demonstrate the current mechanism, required subscriptions and ownership of that automation. That detail matters more than whether an integration logo appears on a page.

Recruit Recap’s ATS work is scoped on demand. For either option, write down the destination record, fields, approval point and recovery process. Budget the maintenance of the actual handoff, including who is responsible if a record cannot be matched.

Run a two-output pilot

Use one fictional candidate screen to produce both internal notes and an external client introduction. Keep a candidate’s unanswered question in the internal record and make sure the client-facing draft does not convert it into a statement of fact.

Then have a recruiter find the original support for one sentence and revise it. Compare the steps needed to review and share the corrected version. If your agency already uses Otter successfully, this exercise can show whether configuration solves the problem before you introduce another platform.

Pricing: compare the workflow you would buy

Use the current Recruit Recap pricing and request a quote or current plan details from Otter.ai. Compare the same number of users, billing period, capture requirements, storage and integration work. A free entry plan and a fully configured agency rollout are different scopes. This page does not claim that either product is cheaper.

Questions to resolve in the demo

  • Can a recruiter find the evidence for a sentence, correct it and share the approved version?
  • Which capture methods and output formats are included in the quoted plan?
  • What exactly reaches the ATS, and who handles a failed or incorrect transfer?
